My Maui Trip Recap
Aloha!
Nick and I just had the best trip to Maui for his 30th birthday! I am SO glad we decided to celebrate big this year. He so deserves all the love, and I am beyond thankful for this time away with just him.
I will recap parts of the trip, what I wore, some packing must-haves, and of course the amazing places we went to eat!

We got so many amazing suggestions from all of you for this trip! Here are some of our favorites so far.
Okay I am obsessed with this hat!
Our Stay
AirBnB at Kihei Ali Kai. The location is perfect and the pool is amazing. It’s a 3 minute walk from our room to the beach!
Must pack items:
flat steamer, Babe chafe and boob powder, dr jart tinted sunscreen, trendy square sunglasses
Restaurant Favorites
Breakfast:
The Cinnamon Roll Place for something sweet. Kihei Cafe for a yummy brunch or breakfast! I got the Eggs Benedict and Nick got the Benedict Florentine eggs, which were both AMAZING! We also split a Cinnamon roll and in my opinion, it was better than The Cinnamon Roll Place.
Lunch:
The food trucks at South Maui Gardens. We ate here every day for lunch and were never disappointed! It’s absolutely stunning as well- it’s a nursery so there are tons of plants and trees!
I love this two-piece, the color and fit are so good!
Dinner:
Kapa Bar and Grill at the Marriott in Wailea. It’s a pricier dinner- but the views are worth it. We sat on the patio overlooking the bay as the sun set behind Kaho'olawe Island. Wailea is the greenest part of the island and where all the money is 😆 We stopped at the Prada and Rolex store to look around at the shops next door.
The perfect date night dress. I'll take it in every color, please, and thank you!
Shave ice:
Flying Monkey Shave Ice. ALWAYS get a scoop of macadamia but ice cream on the bottom.
Activities
Hike:
We hiked the lava fields in South Maui and it was my favorite hike we’ve ever done. Shady in some spots, long enough but also short enough, and has very little elevation change.
I love these biker shorts! Such a good hiking outfit.
Top / Hiking Boots / Bag
Beach:
Maluaka Beach for snorkeling and relaxing. It’s stunning, quiet, and decently calm. The shower and bathroom facilities were great.
Black Rock Beach was great for snorkeling but the undertow was rough! I was fine but I’d be nervous to bring Lane and Leighton to this beach. This was where we jumped from the black rock! I’m super afraid of deep water and honestly any ocean animal but I climbed up and jumped THREE times. I was super proud of myself. This was a bucket list item for me in Maui.
The best beach outfit in my opinion: Swimsuit / Coverup Top / Shorts / Hat
Additional outfits for your trip inspiration!
I hope this recap was helpful if you are planning a trip anytime soon to Kaui!! Let me know if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help!
Have a wonderful weekend 🫶🏼
